Industrial Design in Prague is a particularly wonderful context in which to explore historically, well-known motifs of Art Nouveau, Cubism, and Modernism from the standpoint of manufactured and handcrafted products.The influence of and on Prague from major European design centers has been significant in creating an atmosphere of form experimentation, exploration, and excellence. There are a number of outstanding museums and collections of furniture, jewelry, lighting, tools, graphics, not to mention a number of contemporary stores in which to experience design on a high level. There is a long tradition in glass, ceramics and metalwork in the Czech culture, which is unique and astounding in its expression and function.
