This unique drawing course, taught by Jim Anderson, landscape architect and illustrator with over 40 years of practical design presentation training and experience, introduces and explores a variety of media, techniques and drawing approaches with an emphasis on discovering many of the tricks, shortcuts and secrets to time-saving and effective drawing. He explores some of the biases and myths about learning to draw and identifies some of the no-no’s that limit and frustrate student’s efforts; he offers a rare look into the skills, methods, processes and perspectives behind compelling drawing and painting. This course seeks to promote a blended view of both traditional media and computer approaches. No experience necessary. Students create a CD portfolio.
