Professor Maria Pramaggiore has taught at NC State University for 15 years. She co-authored with Tom Wallis the introductory film textbook, Film: A Critical Introduction. They have also both served for nearly a decade on the selection committee for the Full Frame Documentary film festival.

Maria Pramaggiore is a Fulbright Scholar (Ireland 2007) and the recipient of a CHASS Outstanding Teacher Award (2006). She has published two books on Irish cinema and numerous articles on various film topics, including experimental cinema and women’s filmmaking.
